Nebo United Soccer Club is a youth soccer organization dedicated to developing players in a positive, competitive, and community-focused environment. Our club provides training, teams, and development opportunities for players of various ages and skill levels throughout South Utah County.
Nebo United offers programs for players across multiple age groups, typically ranging from young developmental players to competitive youth teams. Age divisions follow standard youth soccer guidelines to ensure players compete and develop with athletes in similar age groups.
No. While some teams are competitive, we welcome players at different stages of development. Our coaches focus on building skills, confidence, and a love for the game while helping players grow and improve.
Tryouts are typically held once per year before the start of the competitive season. Exact dates are announced on our website and social media channels. Players are encouraged to attend tryouts to be evaluated and placed on the appropriate team.
Practice schedules vary by age group and level of play. Most teams train multiple times per week and participate in league games and tournaments throughout the season.
Nebo United teams compete in organized youth leagues and tournaments throughout Utah and the surrounding region, providing players with opportunities to develop their skills in competitive match environments.
Players typically need:
Soccer cleats
Shin guards
Practice uniform or training gear
Water bottle
Game uniform (provided by the club)
Coaches will provide additional details at the start of the season.
We encourage parents to be active supporters of our players and teams. Opportunities may include volunteering, assisting with team organization, supporting club events, or helping foster a positive sideline environment.
Yes. Nebo United is always interested in passionate coaches who share our commitment to developing young athletes and building a strong soccer community. If you are interested in coaching opportunities, please contact us through our website.

We welcome coaches from a variety of backgrounds — including experienced coaches, former players, and parents who are passionate about helping athletes grow. If you align with Nebo United values and are committed to creating a positive environment, we’d love to talk.
Not always. Experience is helpful, but it is not required for many roles. We support new coaches with training resources, practice ideas, and mentorship so they can grow into confident coaches.
Coaching needs vary each season. We typically need coaches across multiple age groups, from foundation/development teams to more competitive levels.
Time commitment depends on the team and age group, but most coaches can expect:
Practices 1–3 times per week (varies by level)
1–2 games per week during the season
Possible weekend tournaments (team dependent)
Your team’s schedule will be communicated early so families and coaches can plan accordingly.
Nebo United supports coaches with:
Training plans and practice ideas
Support from experienced coaches and club leadership
Coaching education opportunities
Help with team organization and communication
Guidance on player development expectations by age
You are never expected to “figure it out alone.”
Team placement is handled through a club process that considers player development, team needs, evaluations/tryouts (when applicable), and appropriate competitive fit. Coaches may provide feedback, but final decisions are made with the overall health of the club and teams in mind.
We recommend a consistent communication process so expectations stay clear and professional. Most teams use a team communication app and/or email for:
Practice updates
Game schedules and locations
Tournament details
Team announcements
If issues arise, we encourage respectful conversations outside of games and practice time.
Nebo United focuses on long-term player development. We emphasize:
High touches and learning through the game
Confidence and smart decision-making
Positive coaching and clear standards
Sportsmanship, teamwork, and character
We want players to love the game, compete hard, and grow each season.
Coaches are expected to represent Nebo United with professionalism and composure. We do not support abusive sideline behavior or “sideline coaching battles.” We ask coaches to:
Model calm leadership
Respect referees and opponents
Keep feedback constructive
Build players up, especially under pressure
We encourage a simple, respectful process:
Wait 24 hours after a game if emotions are high
Address concerns directly with the coach first
If needed, involve club leadership for support and resolution
Our focus is always what is best for the player and team culture.
Requirements vary by league and role, but some positions may require items such as background checks, SafeSport, or league-mandated training. Nebo United will guide coaches through any required steps.
Some coaching roles may be volunteer-based and others may be compensated depending on team level, responsibilities, and club needs. This will be discussed during the coaching placement process.
